ED and PE Next Steps Guide, Occasional, Persistent, or Urgent, What to Do

When something changes sexually, it is easy to swing between panic and denial. This guide is a calmer middle ground. It helps you decide what to do next based on pattern and safety.

If it is occasional and not distressing

If it is persistent and bothering you

  • Track for two weeks, sleep, alcohol, stress, context, control
  • Talk to your partner if you have one, silence increases pressure
  • Consider a doctor led assessment to clarify contributors and options

If it started suddenly after a health change

Speak with a clinician sooner, especially if there are other symptoms.

If there are red flags

Seek urgent care if you have chest pain, severe shortness of breath, fainting, significant trauma, severe pain, or feel acutely unwell.
