Erectile Dysfunction: Telehealth Overview

Telehealth for ED: What to Expect

For many men, the hardest part of getting support for ED is starting the conversation. Telehealth can make that first step easier. It can also reduce wait times and make follow up more convenient.

What Telehealth Can Cover for ED

  • A first conversation about symptoms, patterns, and contributing factors
  • Discussing lifestyle factors, stress, sleep, and relationship context
  • Reviewing medications and medical history
  • Planning any next steps, which may include in person care if needed

What Telehealth Cannot Replace

Telehealth is not the right fit for every situation. If you have red flag symptoms, severe pain, significant trauma, or urgent cardiovascular symptoms, seek urgent in person care.

How a Typical Session Works

A telehealth consult should still feel like a proper clinical assessment. You should be asked clear questions, given clear explanations, and offered next steps that match your situation. If something is not appropriate, you should be referred accordingly.
