Hair Loss Checklist, What to Track for Two Weeks Before You Book an Assessment

Tracking for two weeks turns a vague worry into something you can describe clearly. It also helps a clinician understand your pattern faster.

Track these five things

  1. Pattern, shedding, crown, temples, diffuse, patchy
  2. Timing, when it started and whether it is sudden or gradual
  3. Triggers, illness, stress, sleep disruption, diet changes
  4. Scalp symptoms, itch, redness, flaking, pain
  5. Family history, similar patterns in close relatives

A quick note on safety. This article is general information, it is not a diagnosis or personal medical advice. Hair loss can have many causes. If shedding is sudden, severe, patchy, painful, or linked with other symptoms, speak with a qualified clinician.
