When sexual confidence is affected, it is easy to assume you have to fix it alone. You do not. Support comes in different forms, and the best option depends on what is driving the pattern.
Doctor led assessment information is here
When a clinician assessment helps
- Symptoms are persistent and you want clarity on contributors
- There are health factors, medications, sleep, vascular risk, or hormones to consider
- You want structured follow up rather than guessing
When your GP can help
- General health review, blood pressure, blood sugar, sleep quality, and overall wellbeing
- Mental health support pathways and referrals
- Medication review, including side effects discussions
When counselling or therapy helps
- Performance anxiety, shame, and avoidance patterns
- Relationship communication and intimacy rebuilding
- Stress, burnout, and low mood impacting confidence
