How HMC works

A Clear Clinical Process, Not a Questionnaire Only Service

1. Choose your main concern

Select the service that best matches what you would like support with. If more than one concern applies, provide that information during the assessment.

2. Complete a preliminary assessment

Share relevant information about your concern, medical history, medicines and general health. The form is a starting point, not a diagnosis or medical consultation.

3. Confirm practical details

An HMC support team member may contact you to confirm identity, location, fees, service details and the next step. Support staff do not diagnose, prescribe or decide which treatment is suitable.

4. Speak with a doctor

Where HMC appears able to assist, a real time telephone or video consultation is arranged with an Australian registered doctor. The doctor may ask further questions, discuss risks and alternatives and decide whether telehealth is appropriate.

5. Receive a clinical recommendation

The doctor may discuss management options, request further information or tests, recommend an in person review, refer you to another practitioner or decide that treatment through HMC is not appropriate. A prescription is never guaranteed.

6. Arrange follow up

Where ongoing support is appropriate, HMC explains the follow up schedule, fees and how to contact the team. If a prescription is issued, you may choose your pharmacy unless a different lawful arrangement has been clearly explained and agreed.

Why an Individual Assessment Matters

Changes in sexual function, energy, body weight or composition, hair and skin can have more than one cause. Physical health, emotional wellbeing, medicines, alcohol or other substances, sleep, nutrition, stress and major life changes may all be relevant. New, persistent or worsening symptoms deserve an individual medical assessment rather than a generic recommendation.
A doctor may also consider whether your symptoms suggest a wider health issue that should be investigated through your usual GP, pathology, an in person examination or another practitioner. HMC provides a private and practical starting point, but it does not replace comprehensive primary care.

What HMC Can and Cannot Promise

HMC can provide a private preliminary assessment and, where appropriate, access to a real time consultation with an Australian registered doctor.

HMC cannot promise that telehealth will be suitable for every person, symptom or service.

HMC cannot guarantee a diagnosis, treatment, prescription, medicine, delivery timeframe, amount of weight change, hair regrowth, skin improvement, hormone result or sexual health outcome.

Clinical decisions are made independently by the treating doctor, based on the information available and professional obligations.

A doctor may recommend blood tests, physical examination, review by your usual GP, specialist referral or urgent care.

Private by Design, Clinically Responsible

HMC understands that men’s health concerns can feel difficult to discuss. Personal and health information is handled according to HMC’s privacy processes and applicable Australian requirements. Access is limited to people and service providers who need the information for administration, clinical services, technology, payment or other lawful purposes described in the Privacy Policy.

Privacy does not mean avoiding necessary clinical steps. A doctor must still obtain enough information, speak with you in real time where required, explain material risks and decide whether telehealth is safe and appropriate.
